Printing at RIPT on Friday!

I will be printed this Friday, October 22nd, 2010 at RIPT Apparel. TJ from RIPT curated my "Diving With Photons" design from the Physics derby at Woot. Hooray!

Cartographic Contoured Cetecean

Couldn't resist a second try at the "C" derby, and I love maps and contour lines. Being new to shirt design, I'm trying out different techniques in Photoshop and Illustrator to see what I can come up with. The textures in the background feature the Alaskan panhandle and the Hawaiian Islands, two major habitat areas for the featured humpback whale.

Clever Camouflage

After a busy few weeks, I managed to finish a design for the "Things that start with C" derby last weekend. I worked in Illustrator for this one, trying my hand at a cute graphical design with a punchline.

Why couldn't they find the elephant in the strawberry patch?

...because she painted her toenails red! Ha!

The Open Road Behind You

Design originally submitted at Woot for the Road Trip derby. Version 1 included part of the window frame of the car, which was too distracting so I removed it. I really love working with these detailed halftone compositions.
